THE BCD CREATES AN “INTERNET ARMY”
The second training for journalists organized by the Christian democrats with the help of the Belarusian Association of Journalists took place in Minsk on January 23, 2010. We invited young journalists who wrote articles on religious topics or worked with Christian media, and the members of the BCD who wished to improve their journalist skills, to participate in the event.
One of the organizers of the training Iryna Hubskaya informed, that 18 participants of the training from different cities of Belarus listened to the lectures of well-known experts in the sphere of modern journalism, such as Pauliuk Bykouski (the topic – on-line journalism) and Aliaksandr Koktysh (the topic – “How to make and register a newspaper”).
The young journalists received 3 home tasks, upon the results of which the participants of the new media trainings will be chosen. The trainings will take place this year in Lithuania and Sweden.
The future professionals are supposed to prepare an article to the BCD newspaper “Krynica” (“Spring”), an article on social topic to one of the local newspapers (official or non-official) and take an active part in the work of the so-called “internet army” – the on-line team of the BCD which is created with an aim to conduct promotion of the BCD candidates at the local elections basing on the example of Obama’s campaign.
Thus, the Belarusian Christian Democracy has an intention to use social network and other on-line technologies in the electoral campaign, for the first time in Belarus.
