According to the decision of the Ministry of Justice dated December 10, 2009, the reason for non-registration of the BCD party was discrepancies in the list of founders of the party.

The Co-Chairmen of the BCD, in their turn, stated there was an unprecedented pressure on the founders of the party, who were forced to withdraw their signatures by different threats.

Yesterday, the BCD presented the people whose documents contained mistakes, according to the Ministry of Justice. They confirmed their wish to be the founders of the Belarusian Christian Democracy. Sviatlana Shablouskaya from Byhau told how the Head of the Administration of Justice of Magileu regional executive office forced her to withdraw her signature as the BCD founder.

Today Vital Rymasheuski provided the documents which confirmed that other mistakes found by the representatives of the Ministry of Justice in the protocols of the BCD, were correctable.

However, according to Vital Rymasheuski, either the public prosecutor or the judge did not take into consideration the evidence of yesterday’s witnesses. They also refused to issue the call papers to other witnesses from the side of the BCD.

The sentence will be announced on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 12 a.m.
