Charnobylski Shliakh”  - is a whole tradition in the contemporary history of Belarus. It is a response of Belarusians to the tragedy of Chernobyl. Millions of people found themselves under this black cloud. To my opinion, it is our moral duty to commemorate the victims of the tragedy and to warn the new generations every year. Thus, Charnobylski Shliakhis a sacred procession, a demonstration, a response to the Black Pain. It’s not just another action or an anniversary. It’s much deeper”.

The leader of the Christian Democrats is convinced that it is not the time to stop “Charnobylski Shliakh”.

“The Chernobyl echo is still loud. Current authorities do all they can to keep it silent, so we appeal to Belarusians to come to “Charnobylski Shliakh” -2010 on April 26, at 6 p.m. to the Academy of Sciences.”

The Belarusian Christian Democracy also invites the journalists to come to the press-conference of the “Charnobylski Shliakh” organizational committee, which will take place on Monday, April 19, at 12 p.m. at the BPF office (Masherava st., 8).

The following subjects will take part in the conference: representatives of the directive board of the Belarusian Christian Democracy, the Young Front, the movement of solidarity “Razam”, the member-correspondent of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and other representatives of the organizational committee of this year’s action.
