Representatives of the BCD along with other young Belarusian politicians have taken part in an educational programme in Germany supported by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

Here is the list of those BCD activists who participated in the programme:

Dzianis Sadouski, the party’s secretary;

Lubou Kameneva, leader of the party’s youth wing;

Anastasiya Sotnikava, former BCD candidate for deputy from Vitsebsk;

Anatol Mihnavets, member of the party’s National Council.

These people were joined in their trip by young politicians from the BNF Party, United Civil Party and the Movement for Freedom.

While visiting Germany the Belarusian activists met with representatives of the CDU CSU including Arnold Vaatz, deputy chairman of the party’s fraction in Bundestag, and some activists of the youth wing of the CDU. They also met with representatives of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Robert Bosch Foundation, the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Bundestag and the Association of Christian Democratic Students.

The most significant event of the trip was their meeting with famous German politician Hans-Gert Pöttering, former president of the European Parliament and today’s chairman of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

During these meetings the Belarusians were telling their counterparts about the current political situation in our country and the last regional “elections”. The Belarusian and German politicians discussed the prospects of the Belarusian opposition in the upcoming presidential campaign.
