Presidential contender from the BCD Vital Rymasheuski has appealed to Community of Democracies to send its observation mission to the upcoming presidential elections in Belarus. Community of Democracies is a global intergovernmental coalition of democratic countries, with the goal of promoting democratic rules and strengthening democratic norms and institutions around the world. This year Community of Democracies has marked its 10th anniversary.

Mr Rymasheuski requests the coalition to carry out professional observation right before the elections, in the course of the elections and right after they finish. He also asks to prepare an objective, authoritative analysis of these presidential elections in the Republic of Belarus.

“If the elections are observed by several independent international organizations, there will be an additional opportunity to find out whether the elections are fair and transparent. And this will undoubtedly benefit our country and its democratic civil society”, says Vital Rymasheuski in his appeal to Community of Democracies.
