Tax inspection officials have fined co-chairman of the BCD Heorhi Dzmitruk $6000, alleging that his family’s spending exceeds the income that the businessman has gained over the past ten years.

Heorhi Dzmitruk received this present on the 600^th anniversary of Grunwald victory from Kobryn tax inspectors who had been checking his business for four months.

“For four months I have been visiting the local Inland Revenue headquarters so frequently, that one might think I work there. At first they checked my income for the last year, then for the past two, three, four years, and, finally, for the past ten years”. Says Heorhi Dzmitruk. “They checked absolutely everything they could, but did not manage to find anything wrong in my income. So, they claimed that my family’s spending was too high and obliged me to pay them the difference between our expenses and my income. In my opinion, this is ridiculous and outrageous! This is just another unlawful way to put pressure on me as a co-chairman of the BCD and participant of the regional election campaign”.

Mr Dzmitruk has five children aged 19, 18, 15, 13 and 6. All the family members live together. In their calculations the tax inspectors took into consideration merely Heorhi Dzmitruk’s income. However, they counted the total spending of all his family members. The co-chairman of the BCD intends to start legal actions to complain about the fine in court.

Other members of the BCD have no doubts that the pressure, put on Heorhi Dzmitruk, was caused by his political activities and is also connected with the upcoming presidential campaign, because Mr Dzmitruk is one of the leaders in the team of the party’s presidential aspirant Vital Rymasheuski.
