Vital Rymasheuski summoned to police
Vital
Rymasheuski, a co-head of the organising committee to create the Belarusian
Christian Democracy party (BCD), has been summoned to a police station.
The
politician will visit Minsk’s Savetski district police station on May 12,
according to the BCD press service.
BCD members
say it can be explained by persecution of opposition activists ahead of the ice
hockey world championship in Minsk that opens on May 9.
More than
20 opposition activists have been detained by the police in the last two weeks.
Human rights defenders explain the arrests by the ice hockey world championship
