Ronald Pofalla, MP, German Federal Minister for Special Affairs, demands to revise the decision of the Belarusian Justice Ministry on non-registration of the Belarusian Christian Democratic Party.

With such a demand he addressed the head of Lukashenka’s administration.

He informed about that in a letter co-chairmen of the Belarusian Christian Party Pavel Sieviarynets, Vital Rymasheuski and Heorhi Dzmitruk.

Besides, he has asked for support for the BCD from Hermann Gröhe, Secretary General of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU). “The facts of registration denial and intimidation of a number of persons who had signed the application for the party registration are another confirmation of repressive policy of the Belarusian state leadership. In this situation I would like to reassure of our solidarity,” he noted.

“I convey my most cordial greetings and deep respect to you personally, as despite great pressure and crackdown you are continuing to defend freedom and Christian Democratic values courageously. I wish you staying power, high level of support and success in your important work,” Ronald Pofalla writes.
