Executive secretary of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party, Dzianis Sadouski, was one of the coordinators of the boycott campaign at the recent “parliamentary elections” in Belarus. On 28 August, 2012 he was abducted by the uknown while putting up boycott posters. He was later found in the police department of Frunze district in Minsk. The court of Frunze district of Minsk held a closed and secret session and “convicted” Mr. Sadouski to ten days of arrest.

Today, 5 October, 2012, “social worker” from the social and educational center of Soviet district of Minsk, Mrs. Halina Gaurylava came to the home of Dzianis Sadouski on the order of Mrs. Alena Piatrouskaya, director of the center. Mrs. Gaurylava wanted to check the conditions of Mr. Sadouski’s children – three year old son and five-month daughter – on the reason of repeated arrests of Dzianis Sadouski. Mrs. Gaurylava crudely threatened Sadouski’s family with problems and not finding him, she promised to look for him with the police.

Dzianis Sadouski was outraged by this visit of the “teachers”. “There is no question that the regime decided in this way to put pressure on me and my family, to create tension in the family. It is obvious to everyone that my arrest on 28 August, as well as this visit, are politically motivated”, – he said .

Co-chairman of the BCD, Vital Rymasheuski, stated that the actions of the authorities are very similar to the pressure exerted on the family of the former presidential candidate Andrei Sannikau, when the security forces threatened to kidnap and kill his three year old son. “These methods are not authoritarian, they are of Hitler’s Gestapo, when they start threatening small children,” – he stressed.
